- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, and obtain pre-certification or authorization as needed.
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines and ensure a smooth patient flow.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, demonstrating a strong orientation to professionalism and courtesy.
- One year of experience in scheduling or patient access in a hospital or related setting.
- Basic computer literacy and keyboarding skills, with proficiency in electronic verification systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required, with knowledge of commercial and managed care payers and terminology.
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification preferred.
