Senior Patient Services Coordinator

This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient management of patient flow within the clinic.
As the primary liaison for patients, you will oversee appointment scheduling, prepare essential documentation prior to patient visits, welcome patients upon arrival, and maintain accurate records.
Moreover, this position may involve processing charges for clinic services, submitting insurance claims, addressing inquiries from patients and insurance providers, and keeping pertinent departmental information up to date.
Additionally, responsibilities may include handling cash transactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of office experience, including two years in a medical setting or three years within the Patient Service Program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology, coding procedures, CPT and ICD-10, billing operations, cashiering, and data entry.
- Familiarity with Centricity Business (CBiz) Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Referral Management System (RMS), Cemer, and telecommunication systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years of customer service, office, or related experience, with two years in a healthcare or dental clinic environment preferred.
- Additional educational qualifications may be considered in lieu of experience.
