Role Summary and Responsibilities

The Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care through effective oversight of departmental functions and staffing. Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing a strong clinical identity by implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Managing clinical practice variations to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness while fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Staying informed on internal and external benchmarks, pursuing relevant accreditations and designations.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards through the development of appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Overseeing regular maintenance of medical equipment in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Facilitating efficient patient throughput and high-quality care through effective volume forecasting and care coordination.
  • Promoting interdisciplinary communication and collaboration to meet patient care needs effectively.
  • Directing nursing practices and unit operations to ensure comprehensive assessment and evaluation of patient and family needs.
  • Leading initiatives to achieve and maintain exceptional patient experiences.
  • Instilling a culture of accountability for positive patient interactions that distinguish our organization as a leader in healthcare.
  • Participating in the annual budgeting process, providing insights into revenue, expenses, and resource needs.
  • Identifying performance gaps and implementing corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing, with a preference for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Chemo/ONCC certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
