Position Overview:
The Community Support Services Coordinator is a vital member of the interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing adaptable, empathetic, and community-oriented services aimed at fostering stability, recovery, and reintegration for individuals facing mental health challenges and histories of homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, utilizing a client-centered, harm reduction, and strengths-based approach.
  • Facilitate referrals to community resources, ensuring clients have comprehensive access to necessary services such as entitlements, benefits, and advocacy.
  • Provide individualized support and counseling in areas including life skills, housing issues, and health maintenance, assisting clients with medication management, budgeting, and financial planning.
  • Maintain accurate written and electronic records, prepare reports, and complete required program documentation.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call service rotation with fellow team members.
  • Attend annual staff retreats and programmatic meetings, which are considered an essential part of employment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of supportive counseling techniques.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and computer proficiency.
  • Proven ability to independently solve problems and navigate challenging situations.
  • Experience in mental health or harm reduction settings, particularly in community service roles, is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation for work purposes, and current automobile insurance are mandatory.
  • A willingness to engage in self-reflection and adopt new relational approaches.
  • Ability to tolerate risk and discomfort in professional settings.

Compensation:
The hourly wage ranges from $20 to $21, with a hiring bonus available upon successful completion of the orientation period.
