Organization: Pathways Vermont is a progressive nonprofit organization focused on eradicating homelessness and delivering innovative mental health solutions through ongoing supportive social work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture relationships with clients, utilizing a client-centered and strengths-based approach.
- Facilitate access to community resources and services, including entitlements, advocacy, and addiction support.
- Offer individualized support and guidance on life skills, housing issues, and health maintenance, including medication management and budgeting assistance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with program requirements.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call service rotation with team members.
- Attend mandatory annual staff retreats and programmatic meetings, which are compensated.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills and a solid foundation in supportive counseling techniques.
- Exceptional communication, writing, and computer proficiency.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenging situations.
- Experience in mental health or harm reduction services is preferred.
- A Bachelor's Degree is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
- A commitment to self-reflection and continuous learning in relationship-building.
- Ability to tolerate risk and discomfort in various situations.
Compensation:
- Hourly wage of $20-$21.
- A hiring bonus of $3000 is available upon successful completion of the orientation period.
