Patient Transport Communication Coordinator
We are looking for a committed professional to become part of our organization as a Patient Transport Communication Coordinator. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the RTC Coordination Nurse and RTC Specialist to facilitate safe and effective inter-hospital transportation for patients within the University of Vermont Health Network.
- Oversee ground and aerial transport logistics
- Communicate vital information among EMS agencies, healthcare providers, patients, and the Emergency Department
- Guarantee precise and clear communication
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college education preferred)
- Nationally registered and licensed EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic
- Experience in emergency medical services or dispatch operations
- Expertise in healthcare customer service interactions
- Understanding of radio communication systems and computer-aided dispatch
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes
