IT Infrastructure Operations Specialist

Overview:


This role is centered around Information Technology Operations, providing essential support to manufacturing facilities.
As part of the IT team, you will play a crucial role in assisting the production of innovative vehicles for the market.

Key Responsibilities:


- Support a multi-shift manufacturing operation, requiring flexibility in scheduling.
- Deliver technical assistance related to IT applications, infrastructure, operating systems, and end-user productivity tools to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Business IT and stakeholders to prioritize enhancement initiatives.
- Assist Plant Floor Systems and PDO teams in incident resolution, providing support for escalations and collaborating with global teams as needed.
- Focus on the integration and long-term maintenance of applications.
- Aid team leadership in managing tasks and workloads.
- Create, maintain, and share comprehensive support documentation.

Qualifications:


- A strong interest in learning about manufacturing operations and business practices is essential.
- A broad understanding of business and manufacturing perspectives is advantageous.
- Familiarity with computer-based tools and computing infrastructure, along with an interest in processes that support manufacturing, is fundamental.

Preferred Skills:


- Experience with office automation, Windows, PCs, and printers.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience working effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams in high-pressure situations.
- Background in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proven ability to identify, investigate, and resolve issues independently.
- Experience with server administration, particularly Windows or Linux.
- Familiarity with plant floor automation systems (e.g., control systems, PLCs) is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of Cisco routers and switches, including troubleshooting and cable installation.
- Effective communication skills with both business users and IT professionals, including globally distributed teams.
- Ability to tailor communication for various audiences and collaborate with all management levels and diverse groups.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience with virtual machine servers.

Education Required:


- High School Diploma or equivalent.
