Job Summary:
G-TECH Services is seeking an experienced HR Coordinator - Attendance Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the effective administration of the National Attendance Program (NAP) and related policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Administration: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of contract language related to attendance requirements and disciplinary actions.
- System Management: Develop expertise in systems necessary to investigate employee attendance records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Communication and Reporting: Create and publish regular progress updates to stakeholders, including operations customers and UAW representatives.
- Corrective Action: Conduct meetings and administer corrective action as necessary, in accordance with NAP language.
- Attendance Auditing: Audit attendance and tardiness timekeeping codes, correcting and updating employee records as needed.
- Customer Follow-up: Follow up with operations customers to successfully close out and report on attendance/tardiness items.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert for line management on attendance policy interpretation.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain all required documentation related to FMLA administration.
- Leadership and Liaison: Lead the 10-day quit process and serve as a liaison between operations customers, UAW counterparts, local medical department, and labor relations departments.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve attendance processes.
- Availability: Must be available to work all shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
Requirements:
- Experience: One or more years of experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and WebEx Teams.
