Role Summary:
The Financial Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that financial transactions are executed accurately and promptly, adhering to all relevant institutional, state, and federal regulations, policies, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute and assess non-catalogue purchase orders, standard contracts, individual journal entries, and internal charges.
2. Manage batch journal entries and internal charges, service center budgets, and the development of service center rates.
3. Provide expert guidance on sole source justification purchases and capitalized asset acquisitions.
4. Conduct financial reviews and approvals for travel expenses and oversee basic funds management.

Collaboration:
The Financial Operations Specialist will collaborate closely with departmental staff and functional office personnel, ensuring a high standard of customer service and professionalism in all interactions.

Work Environment:
This position operates under general supervision and is expected to leverage technology to deliver professional services effectively.
