Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Medical Operations for the Central Region is tasked with overseeing the operational management of ambulatory practice sites within the community. This role is pivotal in ensuring a superior and secure patient experience while providing essential support for healthcare providers to deliver quality care efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
This individual will prioritize, establish, and implement organizational objectives and strategic plans aimed at achieving the goals of multi-specialty practices and fostering long-term growth.

The SVP will be accountable for the comprehensive evaluation and enhancement of processes to sustain high standards of patient care and employee safety across all practices.

Reporting Structure:
The Senior Vice President of Medical Operations will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer of RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group.

Core Duties:
- Collaborate with Central Region hospital leadership to ensure alignment with community and regional objectives.
- Work alongside other regional medical group executives to ensure consistent application of medical group goals across all regions.
- Engage closely with Service Line leaders to support strategic initiatives.
- Foster positive relationships with various corporate services including Revenue Cycle, IT, Credentialing, Coding, Facilities, HR, and Financial Management to achieve key performance indicators and service outcomes.
- Partner with the Chief Medical Officer and physician leaders to promote effective communication and teamwork.

Quality Assurance:
- Regularly review and evaluate the quality, safety, and appropriateness of patient care services, implementing necessary actions based on findings.
- Utilize feedback and collaborate with leadership and staff to identify and pursue improvement opportunities.

Operational Excellence:
- Establish and revise standards to maximize cost-efficiency and operational performance.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that guide service provision in specific practices.
- Make informed staffing recommendations based on current and future departmental needs.
- Monitor financial performance and conduct cost analyses to enhance service offerings.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration.
- A minimum of seven to ten years of progressive managerial experience in medical practice management or a similar environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality service delivery and organizational mission.
