Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Medical Operations is accountable for the strategic and operational oversight of ambulatory practice sites within the Central Region. This role is pivotal in ensuring an exceptional and secure patient experience while providing robust support for healthcare providers to deliver quality care, alongside maintaining productive and financially sound operations.
Key Responsibilities:
The SVP will prioritize and formulate organizational objectives and execution strategies necessary for achieving multi-specialty practice goals and sustainable growth.
This position is responsible for:
- Overseeing the evaluation processes aimed at enhancing and sustaining high standards of patient care and employee safety across all practices.
- Managing resources effectively to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
- Collaborating with hospital leadership to align community and regional objectives.
- Engaging with other regional medical group executives to ensure consistent application of medical group goals.
- Building strong relationships with various corporate services to meet key performance indicators and service outcomes.
- Working closely with the Chief Medical Officer and other clinical leaders to foster effective communication and teamwork.
- Regularly reviewing and assessing the quality and safety of patient care services, implementing necessary actions based on findings.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement through collaborative feedback with leadership and staff.
- Establishing and updating standards to maximize operational performance and cost-efficiency.
- Defining and implementing policies that guide service provision in specific practices.
- Making informed staffing recommendations to meet current and future departmental needs.
- Enhancing service offerings to better meet patient and medical group needs.
- Conducting financial analyses to monitor program returns and support departmental budget goals.
- Approving essential documents including contracts and purchase orders.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in a similar discipline is preferred. Candidates should possess seven to ten years of progressive managerial experience in community and academic medical practice management or a comparable environment. A demonstrated commitment to quality service delivery and alignment with organizational mission is essential.
