Job Title: Personnel Analyst at City of New York

Hours:
- Full-Time (35 Hours)

Work Location:
New York City

The City of New York is seeking a Personnel Analyst to support the Deputy Director of Personnel and the Senior Personnel Analyst in their operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meeting agendas and participate in discussions
  • Input salary data and updates into the personnel management system
  • Create tickets for job status inquiries
  • Draft offer letters and release requests
  • Assist in submitting the monthly hiring plan to the Office of Management and Budget
  • Maintain logs for vacancy control
  • Support employee pre-processing and background checks
Additional Duties:
  • Update management reports through data entry
  • Recommend standard operating procedures for HR functions
  • Collaborate with staff from various city departments
  • Address personnel inquiries and conduct reviews
  • Contribute to special projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience
  • OR High school diploma with 6 years of relevant experience
  • OR equivalent education and/or experience
Preferred Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong analytical skills and customer service orientation
  • Familiarity with NYC personnel policies and procedures
  • Experience with personnel management systems
