The City of New York is seeking a Personnel Analyst to support the Deputy Director of Personnel and the Senior Personnel Analyst in various human resources functions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Organize meeting agendas and participate in discussions
  • Enter salary data and updates into the HR management system
  • Create tickets for personnel status requests
  • Draft official job offer letters and release requests
  • Assist in preparing the monthly hiring plan for oversight
  • Maintain logs for vacancy control
  • Support employee pre-processing and background checks
Additional Duties:
  • Update management reports through data entry
  • Propose standard operating procedures for HR functions
  • Collaborate with staff from various municipal agencies
  • Address personnel inquiries and conduct reviews
  • Participate in special projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience
  • OR High school diploma with 6 years of relevant experience
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong analytical skills and customer service orientation
  • Familiarity with NYC personnel policies and procedures
  • Experience with HR management systems
