Executive Assistant to the Vice President

Georgetown University's Office of Advancement is seeking a highly skilled and organized Executive Assistant to support the Vice President in managing the day-to-day functions of the office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Vice President's schedule, overseeing inbound communications, executing special projects, and ensuring materials are prepared in advance of meetings.
Additionally, the Executive Assistant will provide logistical support and execution of office meetings, leadership meetings, office-wide meetings, and retreats, as well as annual business planning and reporting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the Vice President's schedule and overseeing inbound communications
- Executing special projects and ensuring materials are prepared in advance of meetings
- Providing logistical support and execution of office meetings and events
- Overseeing the Vice President's deployment, including scheduling, travel logistics, and briefings
- Engaging in internal strategic discussions related to Advancement and campaign priorities
- Handling contracting, expenses, and payment processes for the Vice President's office
- Scheduling the Vice President and managing certain correspondence
- Collaborating with senior leadership, faculty, students, and key university constituents
The Executive Assistant will be a trusted resource in the Office of Advancement, working closely with senior leaders, managers, and employees throughout the office and the university.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or at least five years of relevant work experience
- Minimum 2 years of related professional experience
- Demonstrated relationship-building skills (both internally and externally)
- Organized with strong attention to detail and demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Mission-driven and service-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, and ambiguous environment
- Ability to organize and prioritize time in the face of competing priorities
- Proven professional composure, discretion, judgment, and ability to judiciously manage sensitive and confidential information
- Strong facilitation/presentation skills
- Proven experience working independently and collaboratively with a team
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite
Work Mode Designation:
This position has been designated as Hybrid. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.
Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $47, $87,558.13
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
