Job Title: Director, Office of the Vice President Operations

The George Washington University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead the Office of the Vice President Operations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the coordination of efforts across the university and division, focusing on GW's top donors and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee leadership travel for the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, prioritizing donors and prospects for visits with the Executive Director and Principal Gifts team.
  • Plan presidential salon dinners in key markets, collaborating with colleagues in DAR and University Events to determine audience and coordinate logistics.
  • Manage the Project Coordinator, Office of the Vice President, providing oversight for the leadership request, scheduling, and briefing process.
  • Review and write briefing materials in advance of meetings with the President, Provost, and Vice President.
  • Act as the secondary liaison to the Office of the President, Office of the Provost, and Office of the Board of Trustees to ensure high-level communication and coordination.
  • Draft and edit written communications on behalf of the President and Vice President, as requested.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 8 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations and perform well under pressure, with a high level of discretion and professional demeanor.
  • High level of proficiency in key components of Microsoft Office suite of products.
