Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Staff to join our team at Secure Community Network (SCN). As a strategic partner to the National Director and CEO, you will play a critical role in overseeing programmatic efforts and operational initiatives, managing internal projects and personnel, and supporting external partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Advisory Role: Serve as a trusted advisor to the National Director and CEO, providing expert guidance on strategic and operational matters.
  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and advance policies and initiatives designed to further SCN's mission and goals.
  • Liaison and Communication: Act as a liaison between staff and senior leadership, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on strategic and operational objectives.
  • Relationship Building: Build and develop relationships with staff to increase efficiency and effective responsiveness for existing operations, and help define new operational strategies.
  • Board Engagement: Manage efforts related to Board of Directors engagement, including meeting preparation and ongoing communications.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations through collaboration with relevant staff and stakeholders to manage and prioritize organizational objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Manage strategic planning efforts and lead efforts related to development, identification, and oversight of personnel and operational performance metrics.
  • Collateral Materials: Create and develop collateral materials, reports, proposals, and correspondence for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives.
  • Administrative Support: Perform administrative and technical support responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years of full-time professional work experience in Project Management or Planning.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field required. Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • Stellar organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Extremely versatile and agile, dedicated to efficiency and productivity.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for cross-functional project coordination and management.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced organization and handle multiple tasks over an extended period of time in a self-directed manner.
  • Ability to receive and process sensitive intelligence and information.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and proficient computer skills in an Apple environment.
