Executive Director, Risk Management

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director to lead our Credit Risk Management team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for safeguarding our company by ensuring that we only engage with financially and operationally sound business partners.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage a team of credit risk professionals responsible for evaluating the ongoing creditworthiness of our business partners and their compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement credit risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses and ensure the integrity of our business operations.
- Collaborate with senior management and other departments to ensure effective risk management practices and policies are in place.
- Provide expert credit input and recommendations on new or expanded business relationships, including the development of protective covenants and risk mitigation strategies.
- Identify and escalate potential credit risks to senior management, and work with them to develop and implement remediation plans.
- Lead and participate in internal working groups, interact with senior management, the Board of Directors, and regulators as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, exchanges, and other industry professionals.
- 15+ years of experience in risk management, with a strong background in credit risk analysis and management.
- Proven leadership and supervisory abilities, with experience leading a team of experienced professionals.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong bias for action and accountability.
- CFA or FRM certification.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry, such as financial services.
- Depth and breadth of experience in credit risk management, with a strong understanding of credit rating methodologies and financial statement analysis.
