Our mission is to empower and support nursing regulators in their essential role of protecting the public.

ROLE SUMMARY

We are in search of a skilled administrative professional to enhance our Executive Office team. The successful candidate will contribute significantly by managing Board of Directors (BOD) processes, overseeing organizational initiatives, coordinating the Annual Meeting, and ensuring effective attendance of staff and BOD members at external engagements.

Reporting directly to the Director of the Executive Office, the Coordinator will engage with NCSBN's BOD and various internal stakeholders while orchestrating logistics, processes, and meetings for both the BOD and the Executive Office team.

This position presents an exciting opportunity for an individual with proven experience in supporting executives and/or BOD members, who seeks to further develop their administrative skills within an organization dedicated to advancing nursing regulation and policy on a global scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates BOD processes, including the logistics for board meetings and external meeting attendance by BOD members, along with annual preparations for incoming BOD members.
  • Collaborates with the Director of the Executive Office on designated organizational projects.
  • Assists the Executive Office with tasks related to the Annual Meeting, such as document preparation, editing, collation, room arrangements, and support for run-of-show responsibilities.
  • Tracks NCSBN staff attendance at external meetings, including the collection and provision of after-action reports, and facilitates the review of these reports by the CEO.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in executive office or executive assistance roles.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong verbal, written, organizational, critical thinking, and analytical skills are essential.
  • Professional interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, and flexibility in a dynamic environment are crucial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
