Job Overview

This results in cost-effective, high-performance batteries with fewer materials ending up in landfills, a cleaner manufacturing process, and a truly sustainable closed-loop battery economy.

We are seeking a Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) Manager who will oversee all aspects of material handling and movement at our operational site.

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Oversee the handling, scheduling, and storage of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Coordinate internal material movements to support operational needs.
  • Supervise all active warehousing locations and ensure inventory accuracy using SAP as the primary system.
  • Develop and manage operating budgets while optimizing warehousing and logistics processes.
  • Implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, customer satisfaction, and financial objectives.
  • Conduct metrics reporting and data analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Lead and mentor logistics, warehousing, and material planning teams.
  • Strategically manage inventory, warehousing, transportation, and customer service operations.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, meeting established targets.
  • Evaluate and enhance metrics related to on-time delivery, quality, stock levels, and process efficiency.
  • Address and resolve any issues or complaints while providing guidance and training to the inventory team.
  • Analyze performance metrics to implement operational improvements.
  • Support purchasing and production planning activities.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation, or engineering.
  • Proficiency in SAP software.
  • Several years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or transportation operations.
  • A solid understanding of supply chain, inventory management, distribution, and business principles.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to lead a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical capabilities.
  • Familiarity with logistics and inventory management software.
Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.
  • Meet OSHA standards for manual lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods.
  • Work in various weather conditions and temperatures.
