Talent Acquisition Lead

As a Talent Acquisition Lead at Urban Ed Academy, you will be instrumental in cultivating a diverse and exceptional group of educators. Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement effective recruitment strategies aimed at identifying, attracting, and hiring highly qualified Black male educators for Urban Ed's fellowship program.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Recruitment Planning:
- Collaborate in the creation and execution of a detailed recruitment strategy that aligns with Urban Ed Academy's objectives.
- Innovate recruitment methods to engage a diverse range of Black male candidates.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, and universities to source potential candidates.
Candidate Sourcing and Evaluation:
- Implement targeted sourcing techniques to identify qualified Black male candidates.
- Review resumes, academic records, and applications to evaluate candidate qualifications and alignment with Urban Ed Academy's values.
- Conduct both phone and in-person interviews to assess candidate potential.
Selection and Onboarding:
- Work closely with the Impact & Learning team to create comprehensive candidate profiles.
- Facilitate the interview process, including scheduling and providing feedback.
- Extend job offers and guide candidates through network partner pathways.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new Urban Ed Teaching Fellows.
Building a Talent Pipeline:
- Develop and execute strategies to create a strong pipeline of Black male teaching candidates.
- Engage in career fairs, job boards, and other recruitment initiatives.
- Utilize social media and digital platforms to attract candidates.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics to assess effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
- Prepare regular reports detailing recruitment activities and outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of recruitment experience, emphasizing diversity and inclusion.
- Demonstrated success in recruiting and hiring diverse talent.
- Strong knowledge of talent acquisition best practices and strategies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Aptitude for building relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools.
- A passion for education and a commitment to Urban Ed Academy's mission.
- Annual salary of $90,000.
