Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Instructional Design Specialist to join our team at Global Technical Talent. As an Instructional Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality eLearning, virtual, and instructor-led learning solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Design and develop eLearning, virtual, or instructor-led learning solutions for technical, compliance, systems, or soft skills concepts, following established instructional design methodologies.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content. Define learning objectives, course structure, learning content, and assessments.
- Analysis: Complete a detailed analysis of each task to be trained/supported for the target audience, business process, and systems.
- Content Creation: Follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials including storyboards, eLearning modules, virtual learning, student and facilitator guides, activities, scenarios, assessments, or performance support.
- Visual Design: Visualize instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions.
- Writing: Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts appropriate for the target audience.
- Meetings and Communication: Participate in meetings with subject matter experts including task analysis, alpha, beta, and answer validation meetings.
- Feedback and Quality Assurance: Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation. Receive and incorporate feedback.
- Project Management: Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables. Proactively communicate issues and risks.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years' experience developing eLearning, virtual, or instructor-led training
- Knowledge: Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Articulate Storyline/WBT Development, PowerPoint, and Word
- Flexibility: Flexibility to work on simultaneous development efforts, as needed
- Desired Skills: Desired: Knowledge of training development applications, QuestionMark, and graphic design, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator
