We are looking for a skilled Account Manager to enhance our business operations.

Position Summary

This role is pivotal in identifying and cultivating new business prospects. The Account Manager will be tasked with developing and generating new business opportunities, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective product sales.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development

  • Finalizes and summarizes customer documentation requests.
  • Engages with clients to understand their requirements and illustrates how our offerings can fulfill those needs.
  • Delivers presentations showcasing the company profile and product range to both potential and existing clients.
  • Travels within the designated territory to connect with clients, solicit orders, address inquiries, and provide product insights.
  • Demonstrates products using actual samples or promotional materials, highlighting key features.
  • Prepares pricing quotes, detailed cost breakdowns, and sales contracts while maintaining accurate customer records.
  • Negotiates pricing for products and tooling, including annual price adjustments.
  • Estimates delivery timelines based on inventory and production schedules.
  • Compiles sales activity reports and manages expense accounts.
  • Stays updated on new products, services, and logistics relevant to customer interests.
  • Builds relationships with key decision-makers, acting as the primary contact for major clients.
  • Develops and executes action plans to enhance product visibility, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet sales expectations.
  • Collaborates with the Sales Manager to keep account activities current.
  • Shares critical customer information with various internal departments to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Oversees product development schedules and mass production deliveries, resolving issues promptly.
  • Translates marketing and product-related documents from Japanese headquarters for client distribution.
  • Acts as a liaison during financial or quality-related issues to provide solutions.
  • Assists accounting in investigating delayed payments from customers to identify potential quality or other concerns.

2. Marketing

  • Supports the Sales Director in forecasting product sales trends and advising on competitive pricing strategies.
  • Monitors and assesses the performance of competing products.
  • Collects production planning information from clients to secure new business and stabilize production launches.

3. Customer Service

  • Addresses initial quality concerns from customers and facilitates resolutions.
  • Develops comprehensive customer profiles to mitigate financial risks and ensure timely payments.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Strives to enhance product knowledge and familiarize with market trends.
  • Seeks continuous improvement in work processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Completes special projects and other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Adheres to company policies and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Travels regularly to meet with clients as required.
  • Maintains high ethical standards and effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Supports the implementation of quality control systems such as ISO9001/IATF16949.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese, both written and spoken.
