The HR Business Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's goals by collaborating closely with the Vice President of Human Resources, the management team, and employees on a variety of administrative HR and Benefits tasks.

This position is dedicated to upholding the Freeman's|Hindman brand in all interactions with clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management:
Oversees and processes semi-monthly payroll using the Paylocity HRIS. Responsible for managing and tracking all employee status changes, title modifications, promotions, and movements to ensure accurate records.

Onboarding & Offboarding:
Collaborates with the Operations team to facilitate comprehensive onboarding and orientation for new hires. Ensures the completion of all End of Employment documentation and procedures. Maintains accurate personnel files, HR documentation, and the HR Team Channel within the Microsoft 365 system.

Leads talent acquisition efforts utilizing the Applicant Tracking System, including job advertisement placements, website postings, resume reviews, interview scheduling, candidate screening, and guiding candidates through the hiring process alongside Hiring Managers.

Utilizes the employee handbook, company policies, and other HR resources to educate and address any inquiries from management and employees.

Benefits Administration:
Monitors, analyzes, and reports on monthly benefits plan data.

Works in close partnership with the Broker group and vendors to ensure accurate employee data and provide insights for process and program enhancements.

Collaborates with the VP and Broker team to manage comprehensive employee Benefit Administration:

Specifically manages:
FMLA, Short Term Disability, ADA Management, and P-LOA. Oversees internal employee needs and requirements throughout the entire process.

Acts as the primary contact for general employee inquiries regarding HR-related matters: benefits, payroll, company policies, time off, and performance review processes.

Oversees the Cobra process, including vendor and employee portal management, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
Works alongside Finance to address payroll tax compliance issues and establish State taxation accounts for employee relocations.
Provides support to the Director as needed and collaborates in all facets of HR.
Requires prior HR and Paylocity experience.
