Role Significance

The Head of Strategic Partnerships is pivotal to the success of our growth initiatives. This position is responsible for spearheading business development and innovation efforts, including financial modeling and business case formulation. The focus will be on pinpointing market opportunities to bolster our market presence and enhance our organizational reputation through innovative product offerings and the exploration of new business frameworks.

This individual will craft and implement strategic objectives into actionable business plans while fostering a collaborative team environment to achieve these targets. The role necessitates collaboration with leaders across various sectors, including finance, provider relations, clinical operations, corporate development, procurement, data analytics, marketing, and operations, to cultivate essential relationships and execute a distinctive value proposition.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Establish a divisional framework to facilitate innovation and advancements.
  • Oversee the intake and preliminary evaluation of feasibility to create a structured and transparent innovation pipeline.
  • Convert analysis and insights into actionable concepts and business cases.
  • Investigate and support business-to-business opportunities with strategic clients to strengthen relationships with Blue Cross.
  • Drive execution and provide oversight for identified opportunities.
  • Lead a team of Business Development Analysts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Comprehensive internal knowledge of Commercial and Government Markets.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Acceptance of this director-level position requires signing an Employee Confidentiality, Intellectual Property Assignment, and Restrictive Covenants Agreement as a condition of employment.
  • Experience in financial modeling and business case development.
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience, including 3+ years in a management role. All relevant experience, including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience, will be taken into account.
  • Experience managing within a matrix organization.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven with a strong desire for knowledge and a proven history of developing processes and relationships to support strategic growth and execution.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead, achieve results, and thrive in a collaborative cross-functional setting.
  • Advanced analytical skills and expertise.
