Position Overview:
The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager will act as the Category Authority for all Professional Services and Consulting within the North American sector, while also serving as the global expert for all Ecolab locations. This role is pivotal in driving impactful initiatives across designated expenditures, categories, and strategic supplier partnerships to achieve cost reductions, cost avoidance, enhanced working capital, operational efficiencies, and risk management strategies through collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee total delivered cost (TDC), category management, supplier value creation, and sourcing strategies for Professional Services and Consulting.
  • Formulate and implement the overarching strategy for respective categories in alignment with Ecolab's objectives and business unit goals.
  • Provide global expertise and guidance across Ecolab regions; establish contracts and agreements for use across various markets.
  • Foster and cultivate strategic relationships at the executive level within Ecolab and with key suppliers.
  • Develop sourcing strategies and ensure execution within the assigned indirect area utilizing TDC Sourcing Principles.
  • Stay informed on global macroeconomic factors that directly influence Ecolab's procurement expenses.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholder groups to synchronize sourcing strategies with business outcomes.
  • Lead by example in promoting Ecolab and Global Supply Chain Safety initiatives.
  • Availability for virtual meetings outside of standard working hours to accommodate global time zones.
  • Minimal travel required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain, Business, Technical, Finance).
  • 5-7+ years of pertinent procurement experience, particularly in Professional Services and Consulting.
  • Proven experience in achieving top-tier sourcing results for professional services and consulting, including management consulting, finance and audit, business process outsourcing, regulatory consulting, and tax and financial consulting.
  • Strong financial acumen along with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Experience managing the priorities of C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a business-oriented mindset, capable of understanding global business objectives and identifying company-wide opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex projects with diverse and sometimes conflicting demands.
  • Strong skills in developing and mentoring peers and subordinates.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning abilities, with attention to detail and a high-level perspective.
