School Nutrition Manager or designated authority
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Culinary Support Specialist plays a vital role in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring the efficient delivery of nutritious meals to students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in a diverse environment.
- Commitment to the core values of the district: relational, purposeful, reflective, resourceful, courageous, and accountable.
- Ability to perform essential functions satisfactorily.
Reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
A criminal background check is required in accordance with district policy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in food service operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report to the manager or assistant manager, following instructions and completing assigned tasks.
- Main responsibilities include cooking, documenting, serving, and cleaning.
- Adhere to safety standards to prevent injuries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
- Ability to lift (5-45 pounds), carry, push, and pull as needed.
- Capability to stand and work for extended periods.
COLLABORATIVE SKILLS:
- Maintain professional relationships characterized by high expectations and teamwork.
- Demonstrate flexibility in daily routines and sensitivity to diverse populations.
FOCUS AND CONCENTRATION:
- Maintain workflow amidst distractions and manage multiple tasks with accuracy.

- Deliver quality work under tight deadlines and adjust processes as needed.
- Maintain composure in challenging interactions.

- Complete tasks without needing detailed instructions.

RELIABILITY:

EVALUATION:
Performance will be assessed annually by the School Nutrition Manager or designated supervisor according to district policy.
