About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist Support Specialist to join our team at CVS Health. As a key member of our pharmacy operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe and effective management of medications and patient care programs.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Maintain and improve pharmacy operations, including inventory management, financial management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, customers, and colleagues, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.
  • Personnel Management: Lead and develop a team of pharmacy technicians and support staff to achieve business objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering, and distribution to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Financial Profitability: Analyze and optimize financial performance, including revenue growth, cost control, and profitability.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate risks to minimize losses and ensure business continuity.
  • Workflow Management: Develop and implement efficient workflows to optimize productivity and quality.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License: Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state where employed.
  • Immunization Certification: Must be certified in immunizations through an accredited organization.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check and be free of pending felony charges or convictions for controlled substance offenses.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
