Position Overview:

The Field Sales Account Executive is tasked with overseeing the sales cycle and fostering profitable revenue growth within a designated sales area, catering to both current and prospective Airgas clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulates and implements sales strategies in alignment with Airgas' directives to service existing clientele, secure orders, and cultivate new business opportunities. Identifies and pursues potential sales leads.
  • Builds strong customer relationships by gaining a comprehensive understanding of the client's operations and establishing a consultative partnership.
  • Engages clients by connecting their business objectives with the value proposition offered by Airgas.
  • Prepares comprehensive sales proposals, including pricing, credit terms, and estimated delivery dates, based on an understanding of Airgas' production and logistics capabilities.
  • Stays informed about industry trends, current Airgas product offerings, and competitive landscape by gathering relevant market intelligence.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to achieve growth targets, ensuring clear communication regarding customer successes and opportunities.
  • Maintains and submits necessary sales documentation, including daily activity reports and territory performance analyses, as required by management.
  • Actively manages customer Accounts Receivable to minimize financial risk and optimize working capital.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; alternatively, up to 4 years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in outside business-to-business sales, with a focus on solution-based selling.
  • Demonstrated success in employing a consultative sales approach to deliver comprehensive value to clients.
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, along with strong listening and presentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite or Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Possession of reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and minimum liability insurance as mandated by state regulations.
  • Willingness to engage in frequent local and regional travel.
  • Commitment to adhering to Airgas safety protocols and all relevant regulations applicable to this role.
