PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Your main objective will be to surpass the annual sales targets within the gas dehydration market. You will be responsible for expanding the segment by acquiring new clients and enhancing market share with current customers. Building robust relationships with fabrication and distribution clients will be crucial to establishing IDEX as the leading provider in gas dehydration solutions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve or exceed the sales revenue forecasts set by the Sales Director and Business Line Manager.
- Conduct sales visits with or without fabricators, fostering relationships with key clients in your designated region.
- Report call outcomes to fabricators and the segment team, outlining any necessary action items.
- Oversee project activities in your territory, including product offerings, pricing recommendations based on Value Selling principles, and sales strategy development while adhering to company policies.
- Document and report sales calls and lead management through designated tools and processes.
- Provide customers with technical guidance on product solutions.
- Collaborate closely with fabricator partners to educate them on value propositions and facilitate end-user training.
- Formulate and execute strategies to displace competitors at both new and existing targeted accounts, aiming for increased market penetration.
- Deliver essential training to fabricators, channel partners, and end users on commercial matters.
- Establish connections with end-user personnel across their organizations.
- Contribute innovative product ideas, market insights, territory data, sales growth strategies, and competitive intelligence to the company. Participate in New Product Development, marketing, and sales teams as necessary.
- Continuously enhance personal sales skills through self-directed development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline relevant to the position.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial sales or product management.
- Self-driven with exceptional organizational, planning, and presentation skills.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Ability to manage relationships and establish credibility.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and other relevant tools.
- Ability to navigate within office and manufacturing settings, write by hand and on a keyboard, and perform general office tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and auditory, for phone and in-person interactions.
- Visual acuity for detailed work and computer usage.
- Experience in general manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments.
- Must effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and all levels of corporate personnel.
- Collaborate closely with other unit field sales management, various IDEX business units, the Strategic Account Management organization, Customer Support Center, Applications and Product Engineering, Warranty & Repair, Information Systems, and Accounting.
