Position Overview:

As an Operational Buyer/Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in our Supply Chain team, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with the Production Planner and Procurement teams to facilitate the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by ensuring timely ordering and scheduling of both Direct and Indirect materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and adjust order requirements generated by the ERP system, ensuring accurate Purchase Orders are released to suppliers.
  • Manage and expedite purchase orders, confirming order details for material requirements.
  • Monitor outstanding purchase orders and address any late deliveries.
  • Align purchase specifications across various plants to ensure consistency.
  • Review incoming invoices to reconcile goods received with billing.
  • Coordinate with production planners to align demand for raw materials.
  • Facilitate the delivery of materials in collaboration with Logistics and Warehouse teams.
  • Conduct evaluations of supplier performance on a quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Assist in resolving any supplier payment issues that may arise.
  • Manage quality notifications specific to suppliers.
  • Support plant operations through inventory analysis and optimization of direct material levels.
  • Ensure supply assurance and monitor delivery performance from key suppliers.
  • Provide training and support for procurement administration and problem resolution within the P2P process.
  • Maintain ERP system modules related to Materials Planning and Production Control, troubleshooting issues as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Engineering to establish delivery commitments and provide early warnings to management regarding potential issues.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in planning and procurement functions.
  • Serve as a backup for the plant production planner as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure accurate tracking of delivery dates for incoming materials.
  • Prevent production shortfalls due to material shortages.
  • Generate and resolve quality notifications related to material availability.

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Procurement, or Manufacturing.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems to manage material flow in manufacturing settings.
  • Daily experience with tools such as Excel, SAP, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Capable of building leadership relationships across diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with SAP in areas such as Purchasing, Logistics, and Accounts Payable.
  • Experience in the complete customer order fulfillment process.
  • Knowledge of operational rates and capabilities in Chemical Operations.
  • Able to engage with various personalities in a professional manner.
  • Strong motivational skills.
