Job Function
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Process Engineering and Quality Manager will oversee the planning, development, and execution of the Engineering & Quality program within operations and new product initiatives.

This role encompasses the assessment of processes, procedures, and applications that align with overarching objectives, ensuring the maintenance of a robust quality program that includes continuous quality assurance, standardized reporting, quality control, reliability, and enhancements in product/process/supply base quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute long-term, progressive strategies for Process Engineering and Quality that align with the company's Vision, Mission, Values, and strategic goals.
- Drive process engineering and quality initiatives throughout the entire product lifecycle, from conception to post-launch support.
- Establish metrics (both internal and external) that identify strategies to reduce quality costs while enhancing reliability and delivery timelines.
- Develop, implement, and manage policies, procedures, and workflows in compliance with industry standards and corporate strategies.
- Assist in conducting regular internal and external audits to verify effectiveness and proper implementation.
- Ensure Quality programs meet or exceed customer, legislative, and regulatory requirements (ISO, NSF, etc.).
- Administer and update Quality Programs to maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Directly oversee the management of customer complaints and returns, leading corrective action planning at both the business and supply base levels.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure appropriate controls are in place for measuring and auditing supplier performance.
- Work cross-functionally with purchasing, operations, manufacturing engineering, and logistics.
- Utilize problem-solving and process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to drive business enhancements.
- Manage and report Key Performance Indicators to relevant stakeholders, including metrics such as First Pass Yield, On-Time in Full, Rework Volume, Defects per Million Opportunity, and customer claims.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering or quality role within an industrial manufacturing setting.
- At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Proficiency in ISO standards (9001, and NSF is strongly preferred).
- Experience in process engineering and improvement utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Certification.
