Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the activities of assigned personnel.
  • Administer and oversee the mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation preventive maintenance initiatives.
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and modifications with operational teams to minimize production interruptions.
  • Direct external contractors as necessary, including developing job scopes and obtaining appropriate quotes.
  • Facilitate preventive maintenance programs throughout the facility.
  • Supervise troubleshooting of equipment failures, collaborating with operations personnel to resolve reliability issues.
  • Establish controls to ensure adherence to efficient operational procedures.
  • Review ongoing and completed repairs/construction to guarantee quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with safety regulations.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to provide supervisory coverage during off-shift hours as required.
  • Contribute to the design of new equipment and modifications to enhance reliability, production, or energy efficiency.
  • Select and recommend training opportunities for maintenance staff.
  • Review and recommend necessary repair parts and supplies for critical equipment.
  • Process work order requests, generate work orders, and close them upon completion.
  • Review and input daily payroll information for direct reports.
  • Generate and distribute daily updates on work performed and job statuses.
  • Manage maintenance overtime requirements effectively.
  • Participate in plant call duty and weekend supervision rotation.
  • Enter purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Conduct and document plant audits focusing on safety behaviors, housekeeping, and procedures.
  • Lead daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings.
  • Drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Assist in the design and development of instrumentation systems, including evaluating and specifying equipment within budget constraints.
  • Build, modify, and repair process and laboratory instrumentation devices, including both hard-wired and programmable logic systems for temperature, flow, pH, conductivity, and turbidity.
  • Perform maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of plant process control loops.
  • Analyze and repair plant telephone systems, public address systems, and related components, including troubleshooting electronic test equipment.
  • Engage in plant safety programs actively.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.
