Position Summary:

Block is seeking a seasoned Regulatory Examination Coordinator with a background in federally regulated financial institutions. In this role, you will provide both organizational and substantive support to the Regulatory Team, develop new systems and procedures, and collaborate with various stakeholders at Block. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic legal team and address compelling regulatory issues. Your insights and contributions will have an immediate impact as we broaden our service offerings.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee an examination program that meets our legal and regulatory obligations while minimizing impacts on business operations and product offerings.
  • Coordinate and manage federal regulatory examinations, working closely with team members to ensure positive examination outcomes.
  • Assist in the preparation of all examination requests and inquiries, ensuring effective coordination with relevant partners.
  • Collaborate with teams to clarify ownership and understanding of regulatory responsibilities.
  • Identify and escalate issues to the Team Lead and Regulatory Examination Project Manager, working together to devise solutions.
  • Support planning and coordination for any necessary remediation projects.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings with partners and teams as required.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating promptness and sensitivity in addressing regulatory requests.
Qualifications:

You Should Have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of direct experience with federal regulatory examinations (FDIC, FRB, OCC, CFPB, etc.) and familiarity with bank partnership lending models.
  • Knowledge of lending regulations, banking laws, and best practices within the financial services sector.
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing operational efficiencies.
  • Strong organizational, process, and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate legal and regulatory obligations clearly across various disciplines and organizational levels.
