Position Summary:

Block is seeking a seasoned Regulatory Licensing Manager with a robust background in international lending regulations. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic legal team tackling significant regulatory challenges. Key Responsibilities:
The primary focus of this position is to ensure compliance with Block's licensing and regulatory obligations in the lending sector outside the U.S. Key responsibilities include:

  • Co-managing a global licensing initiative that meets our legal and regulatory commitments while minimizing impact on business operations.
  • Assisting regulatory counsel with product analysis and regulatory changes in international markets.
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting by collecting and harmonizing data from various internal sources, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Managing all aspects of licensing requirements, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, including:
    • Coordinating with third-party licensing vendors.
    • Maintaining daily licensing operations and regulatory documentation.
    • Supporting the preparation and submission of license applications and related inquiries.
    • Building and nurturing strong relationships with partners and regulatory bodies.
    • Effectively managing assigned tasks with a collaborative approach.
Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 4 years of direct experience in international lending licensing or regulatory affairs.
  • A BA/BS degree; paralegal experience is advantageous.
  • Experience with lending licensing processes in jurisdictions outside the U.S., including examination and investigation.
  • Knowledge of lending regulations and best practices in the financial services sector, particularly in international contexts.
  • Proficiency in engaging with regulatory agencies and senior leadership.
  • Ability to create and implement operational efficiencies.
  • Experience in interpreting legal and regulatory requirements across various disciplines.
  • Familiarity with tools such as NMLS, GSuite, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Jira, and Asana.
