The Role

As our ERP Solutions Sales Executive, you will spearhead efforts to generate new sales of our core ERP offerings through a strategic, consultative sales methodology. Your exceptional prospecting skills will enable you to identify and engage potential clients, assess their business needs, and effectively showcase how our ERP solutions can deliver significant, long-term advantages to their organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving sales initiatives for new ERP software, enhancements, professional services, and custom development by collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide innovative, strategic solutions that meet client needs.
  • Establishing trusted advisory relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers to offer insightful guidance and support.
  • Conducting thorough discovery meetings to understand and document the complex business requirements and operational goals of clients.
  • Acting as an internal project coordinator to ensure that all pre-sales processes are executed efficiently.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely reporting, documentation, and forecasting.
  • Focusing on client satisfaction, service quality, and profitability throughout the solution purchasing process, ensuring a premier experience for prospective clients.

A Day in the Life of an ERP Solutions Sales Executive

  • Identifying and nurturing prospective client sales opportunities through industry contacts, influencers, and leads from events.
  • Engaging with potential clients via phone, email, or in-person meetings; diligently following up on leads and arranging appointments.
  • Coordinating and participating in face-to-face meetings with potential clients at various levels.
  • Building partnerships with software referral providers and technology firms.
  • Creating comprehensive and timely discovery notes to facilitate the accurate development of Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Tracking daily activities and updating information in our CRM system.
  • Providing weekly sales updates to internal stakeholders and executives.
  • Proactively planning and aligning efforts to consistently meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in midmarket ERP software sales in an outside sales capacity.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business processes.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and CRM tools.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; professional demeanor.
  • Outstanding organizational, time management, communication, and listening skills.
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
