Job Overview

Join our dynamic team at Paladin Technologies as a Senior Technician, where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our clients. This position involves collaborating closely with the Client Services Team to effectively manage service requests, including break/fix tasks, preventative maintenance, and minor modifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess service ticket requirements and devise a plan for execution.
  • Coordinate necessary equipment and company vehicle resources to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Review and amend job documentation for assigned tasks as needed.
  • Execute service work in a professional manner, adhering to established best practices.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  • Keep job sites clean and organized.
  • Comply with all relevant safety regulations and protocols.
  • Evaluate material options and confirm accuracy of counts.
  • Oversee the delivery of materials to job sites.
  • Communicate effectively with the Client Services Team regarding schedules, outstanding items, and job progress.
  • Coordinate with the Client Services Team on required job components and materials.
  • Conduct commissioning of specialized systems, including but not limited to:
    • Device and cable testing
    • System functionality assessments
    • Configuration settings
    • Firmware updates
    • User acceptance testing
    • Documentation of systems
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 to 6 years of experience as a Service Technician with a security integrator, including relevant manufacturer certifications.
  • Experience in access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Current Lenel OnGuard Certification is mandatory.
  • Valid US driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with video surveillance systems such as Avigilon, Hanwha, Genetec, Milestone, Exacq, Honeywell, Bosch, and Axis.
  • Experience with access control systems including LenelS2, AMAG, Avigilon, Genetec, Honeywell, Open Path, Lenel, RS2, Software House, and Hirsch.
  • Knowledge of intrusion systems like DMP, Honeywell, and Bosch.
  • Experience with intercom systems such as Aiphone and Viking.
  • Prior work experience in the financial sector, particularly with banks.
  • Skills in engineering or estimating.
  • Understanding of system programming.

Compensation: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including standing, climbing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, squatting, crawling, and stooping. The employee must be able to use hands for handling and typing, reach with arms, and communicate effectively. Vision requirements include close, distance, and depth perception. The use of power tools is necessary, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds is required.

Work Environment:

Employees may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on various job sites, and may need to travel. The work environment may include typical office settings and exposure to construction equipment. Noise levels are generally moderate, and confined space entry may be required.
