The Senior Emergency Services Technician plays a pivotal role in the operations of the Emergency Department. This full-time position entails overseeing the daily activities of Emergency Technicians and ensuring that all protocols are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and guide the Emergency Technicians, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to best practices.
2. Coordinate the orientation and training of new staff members, including Emergency Technicians, Patient Care Technicians, and Health Unit Coordinators, in collaboration with the Nurse Educator.
3. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the department, including the stocking of necessary supplies and completion of daily operational checklists.
4. Serve as a resource for other technicians, promoting a culture of quality patient care and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
- A minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an Emergency Technician with demonstrated leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Certifications such as EMT, EMS, CNA1, or CNA2.
