The Department of Developmental Services is currently looking to fill a full-time position within the West Region, specifically at the Lower Fairfield Center Respite.
Compensation Details:
- Starting hourly wage of $24.00 (HM14) for new hires.
- Upon successful completion of the working test period, the hourly rate will increase to $25.11 (HN14).
- Current employees may earn between $45,870 and $62,188 annually, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive training and independently apply policies and procedures aimed at achieving program objectives for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Assist and instruct individuals in daily living activities.
- Engage in therapeutic programs to enhance individual capabilities.
- Guide individuals in developing personal habits, hygiene, and social relationships.
- Implement individualized program plans.
- Participate in meal preparation, serving, and feeding.
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment through housekeeping duties.
- Facilitate social and recreational activities.
- Utilize behavior modification techniques to reinforce appropriate individual behavior.
- Administer selected oral medications with appropriate training.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
