We are seeking to enhance our Creative Risk Solutions division by adding Liability Claims Specialists. While preference is given to candidates near our offices, we welcome applicants from various locations based on their experience. Successful candidates will thrive in a collaborative environment, showcasing strong interpersonal skills and a passion for continuous learning.

This position entails delivering high-quality claims management and expertise for commercial and construction clients. Responsibilities include investigating, communicating, evaluating, and resolving auto and general liability claims in accordance with our best practices. This may involve handling litigated cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify coverage for commercial auto and general liability claims.
  • Manage claims adjudication, investigating bodily injury and liability claims, and negotiating settlements as appropriate.
  • Set and maintain accurate reserves within the established authority.
  • Research and respond to inquiries from insured parties, claimants, agency partners, and fronting carriers.
  • Engage in claim reviews and participate in Risk Control Workshops as needed.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients following our communication guidelines.
  • Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities and report any fraudulent activities.
  • Oversee claims in litigation, ensuring timely responses from legal counsel and protecting the interests of our clients.
  • Mentor junior Liability Claims Specialists and contribute to the development of new standards as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general and auto liability coverages and their application in claims processing.
  • Proficient in claims processing procedures and capable of exercising discretion in confidential matters.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively to achieve organizational goals.
  • Competent in performing mathematical calculations and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with state insurance regulations and the ability to obtain necessary licenses.
Educational Background:
  • High School diploma required; some college education preferred. Technical designations such as AIC and CPCU are encouraged.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in adjusting property and casualty claims, with a preference for prior agency involvement and commercial litigation experience.
