**Job Summary**

Chubb is seeking a highly skilled Senior Claim Examiner-Med Risk to join our Medical Risk LTC team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling medical risk claims with expertise and professionalism.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide exceptional customer service and work closely with insureds, brokers, and TPAs to adjust medical risk claims.
  • Confirm coverage by reviewing policies and documents submitted in support of claims.
  • Analyze coverage and communicate coverage positions, as warranted, under the direction of a supervisor and coverage unit.
  • Conduct, coordinate, and direct investigations into loss facts and extent of third-party damages.
  • Direct and closely monitor assignments to experts and defense counsel.
  • Evaluate information on coverage, liability, and damages to determine the extent of exposure to the insured and the company.
  • Set reserves within authority or make claim recommendations concerning reserve changes.
  • Interact with business partners, insureds, and directly with claimants and counsel.
  • Travel to conferences, mediations, and trials as necessary.

**Requirements:**

  • Minimum of 4 years of casualty claims handling experience; healthcare/medical risk liability preferred.
  • Law degree or equivalent business experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and assimilate learning materials on many different subjects from various sources.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills; and an ability to deal with customers and business partners in a professional manner.
  • Ability to deliver high-caliber customer claim service to a sophisticated client base.
  • Ability to make prompt, intelligent decisions based upon detailed analysis of complex issues.
  • Demonstrated strong relational skills particularly in adverse or high-pressure situations.

  • A comprehensive benefits package, including a competitive salary range of $71,500 to $115,000, depending on skills and experience.
  • Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
  • A hybrid work environment, with 3 days in the office and 2 remote.
