Position Overview

Housing Program Supervisor - Housing Choice Voucher Initiative

The Durham Housing Authority is in search of a proficient Housing Program Supervisor to lead the management of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Initiative. In this role, you will be tasked with directing a team of Housing Specialists, ensuring that all program-related activities are executed efficiently and effectively.

Primary Duties:

  • Oversee annual and interim assessments, as well as manage relocation requests
  • Lead and organize staff schedules, provide necessary training, and handle personnel matters
  • Address and resolve conflicts involving landlords and program participants
  • Examine documentation to detect potential program misuse
  • Compile and present reports for executive review

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, business management, sociology, psychology, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with the Housing Choice Voucher Initiative and at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
  • Certification as a Housing Choice Voucher Specialist to be obtained within the first year of employment
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
