Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Role Overview:
The Clinical Nutrition Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering optimal nutritional therapy to patients. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments, formulating care plans, monitoring ongoing medical conditions, providing nutrition education, and engaging in multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure exemplary patient care and education for clients, their families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial nutritional assessments to evaluate patients' dietary needs based on age, medical conditions, and individual requirements.
• Analyze dietary intake for adequacy and appropriateness, identifying any nutrient imbalances or excessive consumption of specific foods as a means of weight management.
• Assess the use of compensatory behaviors such as excessive exercise, purging, or the misuse of medications related to weight control.
• Develop individualized nutrition care plans tailored to each patient's unique nutritional assessment.
• Create and implement personalized meal plans that address identified nutritional needs.
• Evaluate the suitability of physical activity and establish plans for monitoring if necessary.
• Conduct initial nutrition assessments within 48 hours of patient admission, along with weekly follow-ups and discharge assessments as per the Standard of Care for Nutrition.

Qualifications:
• Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience.
• Preferred experience in treating eating disorders.
