Position Title: Senior Program Coordinator - Child Care Services

Salary: $21.81 Hourly

Job Type: Part-Time without benefits (Less than 20 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare, organize, and supervise recreational activities for school-age children.
  2. Lead part-time staff and contribute to daily scheduling and program development.
  3. Maintain regular communication with parents regarding updates and participant behavior.
  4. Facilitate engaging and fun environments for children, addressing their needs and concerns.
  5. Document incidents and maintain accurate records for program compliance.
  6. Assist with the development of daily schedules and coordinate necessary resources.
  7. Provide support in personal care and basic needs for participants.
  8. Attend professional development workshops to stay updated on childcare trends.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSet, TASC).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in child development or a related field.
  • Experience in licensed childcare programs is preferred.
  • Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's License.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification required within the first six months of employment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Childcare Credentials I and II.
  • Experience in supervising recreational activities.
  • Knowledge of state childcare regulations and quality indicators.
