This position is within the Lunar Permanence division, which plays a crucial role in establishing sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the Lunar Surface.
We are a collaborative team of innovators and problem-solvers, deeply committed to safety and excellence in space exploration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive test plans, procedures, and scripts for conducting shock, vibration, thermal, humidity, and vacuum assessments on both high and low voltage flight hardware.
- Execute verification testing, including power-on, functional, acceptance, and qualification tests, while meticulously documenting results for power distribution, regulation, and conversion systems.
- Assist in the integration of vehicle hardware and analytical tools essential for validating performance and compliance of units under evaluation.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues within a laboratory setting.
- Support integration and testing activities, including wiring, hardware installation, and setup of test benches.
- Engage in design and system reviews, providing insights on integration and testability throughout all project phases.
- Contribute to technology development, mission assurance, safety initiatives, and process enhancements.
- Communicate project status, risks, and challenges effectively to management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Over 5 years of relevant experience in the industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of electronics hardware development, particularly in high voltage switching and power regulation.
- Proficiency in analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuit design, including analysis, simulation, testing, troubleshooting, and component selection.
- Knowledge of signal integrity, grounding, and general PCB layout principles.
- Experience in developing specialized electronic testing equipment and troubleshooting tools.
- Skilled in using standard electronic laboratory testing and troubleshooting equipment.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C++ and/or Python.
- Experience with NI LabVIEW/TestStand.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in large-scale avionics verification for autonomous spaceflight systems.
- Background in supporting testbeds for spaceflight systems.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation for on-site applicants may vary based on location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and an Education Support Program.
Paid Time Off includes up to four weeks per year, based on scheduled hours, along with up to 14 company-paid holidays.
