This position is integral to our Lunar Permanence business unit, which is pivotal in establishing sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the Lunar Surface.

As part of our diverse team of innovators and problem-solvers, your contributions will directly influence the future of space exploration, requiring meticulous attention to safety and repeatability in spaceflight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate test plans, procedures, and scripts for conducting shock, vibration, thermal, humidity, and vacuum assessments on both high and low voltage flight hardware.
  • Execute verification testing, including power-on, functional, acceptance, and qualification tests, while meticulously documenting results for power distribution, regulation, and conversion hardware.
  • Assist in the integration of vehicle hardware and analytical tools essential for verifying the performance and requirements of units under examination.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues within a laboratory setting.
  • Support integration and testing activities, which encompass wiring, hardware installation, and test bench configuration.
  • Engage in design and system reviews to provide insights on integration and testability throughout all project phases.
  • Contribute to program-level technology development, mission assurance, safety initiatives, and enhancements to development processes.
  • Communicate development progress, risks, and challenges effectively to management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electronics hardware development, including high voltage switching and power regulation.
  • Experience in analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuit design, encompassing analysis, simulation, testing, troubleshooting, and component selection.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity, grounding, and general board layout principles.
  • Proficiency in developing specialized electronic testing equipment and troubleshooting tools.
  • Skilled in using standard electronic laboratory testing and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Familiarity with programming in C++ and/or Python.
  • Experience with NI Labview/TestStand.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • More than 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in large-scale verification of avionics for autonomous spaceflight systems.
  • Experience in supporting testbeds for spaceflight systems.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer up to four weeks of paid time off annually, along with 14 company-paid holidays.
