Position Overview

ARES Corporation is embarking on an ambitious journey to the Moon with the Artemis program, and we are in search of skilled professionals to join our mission. As we prepare for the launch of Artemis II, we require a seasoned Project Engineer to provide comprehensive project management and integration support for the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML-2) initiative.

This role involves collaborating closely with the Element Project Managers (EPMs) to oversee the daily operations of the ML-2 projects, with a particular emphasis on electrical subsystems. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the NASA ML-2 element team through various phases including design, construction, and Validation & Verification processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct project management activities such as budget planning, schedule development, and risk assessments.
  • Facilitate integration support for element schedules, budget analysis, and requirements evaluation.
  • Prepare schedules, presentations, status reports, and financial assessments.
  • Lead studies and assessments related to new or modified requirements and program milestones.
  • Assist management in leading the ARES ML-2 team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 20 years of relevant experience coupled with an advanced Master's degree, preferably in fields related to launch vehicles, facilities, or ground support equipment.
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical ground support systems utilized in flight hardware processing and operations.
  • Experience in project management, development, and verification activities at Kennedy Space Center.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work full-time on-site, with a schedule that includes teleworking options.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Adaptability to changing work demands and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with requirements analysis, risk assessment, and budget management.
  • Possession of PMP or similar project management certification.

Educational Background:

A Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, along with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, is required. Candidates should possess extensive experience in Electrical Engineering, complemented by 20 years of relevant work experience.
