Job Overview: Senior Communication Integration Manager

The COMET contract encompasses comprehensive management and execution of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center.

These responsibilities will facilitate support for the International Space Station (ISS), Ground Systems Development and Operations (GSDO), and the Space Launch System (SLS), including the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle and Launch Services programs.

As a Communication Integration Manager, you will be tasked with coordinating and integrating projects at KSC and other contractor services to fulfill program operational requirements.

Your role will involve developing and executing plans to achieve milestones, assessing operational support and system needs, and analyzing outcomes for ongoing improvement.

This position supports the Exploration Ground Systems (EGS), Space Launch System (SLS), and Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational functions as a Communication Integration Manager, utilizing expertise acquired through experience, with or without a degree, including the design and development of plans, processes, procedures, and planning data requirements analysis.
  • Collaborate with the NASA COMM IT contractor to conduct EGS COMM systems Voice, Transmissions, Imaging, and functional checks prior to significant Artemis Processing operations and simulations.
  • Ensure that KSC EGS site processing schedules (KICS) accurately identify and integrate necessary COMM contractor support requirements.
  • Engage with organizational management to guarantee appropriate planning, prioritization, and support for processing activities.
  • Facilitate Daily Scheduling Meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and customer interface skills are essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, internet browsers, and Outlook.
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, demonstrating initiative, and capable of working independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform walkdowns in various processing facilities.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident/Green Card holder is required if offered a position.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • May require climbing stairs to access equipment for troubleshooting.
  • Must be prepared to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and other necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures.
  • Position is located in a hazardous testing facility; must be able to evacuate buildings quickly in emergencies.
