Human Resource Assistant Position Overview

We are seeking a committed Human Resource Assistant to support our HR operations at EMD Sales. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting the HR team with a variety of administrative responsibilities and human resource functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job vacancies and performing initial candidate evaluations.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring smooth orientations and completion of necessary documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and uphold compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Address employee relations issues and provide support to staff as needed.
  • Facilitate employee benefits enrollment and aid in the administration of benefit programs.
  • Organize and coordinate training initiatives aimed at employee growth and development.
  • Support payroll activities and timekeeping functions.
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage the process of employee separations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR software.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Understanding of HR laws and regulations.

Education and Experience
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in human resources or a related field is desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly wage of $19.00.
  • Initial probation period of six months with performance evaluation for potential permanency.
