Position Overview: Human Resource Assistant

EMD Sales is seeking a committed Human Resource Assistant to enhance our HR operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in facilitating various administrative duties and supporting the HR team in achieving its objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job advertisements and performing preliminary candidate evaluations.
  • Oversee the onboarding experience for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition through orientations and necessary documentation.
  • Maintain comprehensive employee records while ensuring adherence to HR policies and regulations.
  • Address employee relations issues and offer support to staff as needed.
  • Coordinate the enrollment process for employee benefits and aid in the administration of these benefits.
  • Organize and implement training initiatives aimed at employee growth and development.
  • Support payroll activities and timekeeping functions.
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage the process of employee separations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR management software.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Understanding of HR laws and compliance requirements.

Education and Experience
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in human resources or a related field.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly wage of $19.00.
  • Initial probation period of six months with a performance evaluation for potential permanency.
