Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Director to join our team at Archbright. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and daily management of our human resources functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement HR Strategies

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with our company goals and objectives.

Recruitment and Onboarding

Manage the recruitment and onboarding process, developing and executing best practices for hiring and talent management.

Compensation and Benefits

Establish and maintain a competitive and comprehensive compensation policy and procedure to ensure fair and equitable pay rates for all employees.

Learning and Development

Develop and implement learning and development programs to develop staff and address performance gaps.

Employee Relations

Oversee employee relations to help cultivate a positive and respectful workplace culture.

Performance Management

Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying issues, evaluating potential solutions, implementing selected solutions, and coaching and counseling managers and employees.

HR Administration

Administer or oversee the administration of human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave; disputes and investigations; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

Compliance and Risk Management

Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends, including review of reports and metrics from our human resource information system (HRIS) system, to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Knowledge Management

Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law, and apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of Human Resources management experience.
  • Strong communication and consulting skills.
  • Well-developed writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work at the senior leadership level, as well as communicate clearly across all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and composure under stress.
  • Discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to listen, analyze and inform appropriately while maintaining the required sensibilities in handling confidential information.
  • Experience with strategic human resource leadership, including coaching, training and development, and organizational development efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and analyze problems at a senior level, providing feedback, guidance, and direction.
  • A clear understanding of Human Resources practices and legal requirements.
  • Working knowledge of the critical components of a successful HR department, including employment law, performance management, resolving conflict, having difficult conversations, employee engagement, training, maintaining employee files, and managing operational budgets.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of HRIS and other HR systems with strong problem-solving, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software.
  • SHRM-SCP and/or SPHR strongly preferred.
Benefits

This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $115,000-$145,000 per year. It is also available as a part-time, exempt position with a four-day workweek, with salary pro-rated based on FTE. We offer a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 8 paid holidays per year, PTO starting at 10 days per year, 401(k), profit-sharing, and a monthly commute benefit.

Work Environment

This position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 3 days onsite per week at our office. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet, including office conversations, telephones ringing, and typing. Occasionally, the employee will be exposed to loud noises from production machinery from adjacent rooms.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 30-pound file boxes. The employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; walk; use hands to type and sort files; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to read and operate a computer.
